1. Postdoctoral Position
A Postdoctoral position is available immediately to work on
the NIH funded project on trabecular meshwork cell and molecular biology in the
context of aqueous humor drainage and glaucoma disease mechanism. The broad
focus of this project is to investigate the role of cytoskeletal signaling mechanisms
regulating cell contractile activity, cell adhesive interactions and
extracellular matrix remodeling, and their potential role in aqueous humor
drainage through the trabecular meshwork. Cell-based, organ culture, and animal
model studies will be performed in this project.
Applicant must have a Ph.D. at the time of employment in
cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry
or related areas. First author publications in peer reviewed journals
and experience in cell and molecular biology is desirable. Salary will be commensurate with experience
and benefits are provided.
