Two Duke Ophthalmologists Made The Ophthalmologist 2017 Power List

Thursday, April 13, 2017
Two of Duke’s leading young ophthalmologists, Anthony Kuo, MD and Lejla Vajzovic, MD have received one of the greatest compliments possible in ophthalmology – one that’s voted for by their peers. Thirty-six thousand readers of the publication The Ophthalmologist – across Europe and North America – were invited to vote for who they believe are the rising stars in the field today. Kuo and Vajzovic made the final Power List.
The annual Power List is an international celebration and recognition of the most influential people in ophthalmology, defining its thought leaders and inspirational talents. In 2017, The Ophthalmologist wanted to honor ophthalmology by shining a light on those clinicians in the early stages of their careers who look like they’re going to shape the field of eyecare in the next decade or more. In essence, we wanted to know: who are ophthalmology’s “rising stars?” An impressive contemporary accolade, Lejla and Anthony are members of The Power List 2017. Voted for by their peers, being ranked in The Power List is a true acknowledgment of their achievements and prowess in the field of ophthalmology. The Power List is the cover feature of the April issue of The Ophthalmologist – which is available both in print and online versions.
