Duke Eye Center is fortunate to have very talented individuals on our faculty and in leadership roles. Our leaders are responsible for making sure Duke Eye Center provides excellent patient care, and that the Department of Ophthalmology continues to enhance patient care with cutting-edge research, produces well-trained residents and fellows, and sponsors engaging and thought provoking continuing education programs.
We have two new additions to our faculty leadership team:
Anupama
Horne, MD will become the new Division Chief for Comprehensive effective July 1. Robin Vann, MD has done a tremendous job in that role as the division has grown throughout the years. He will continue to be involved through his role as OR director.
Carol Ziel, MD will become Medical Director for our Winston Salem office effective July 1. Dr. Ziel was one of the original partners in that practice and brings years of experience which will be needed as we expand the faculty and facilities in Winston Salem.
