Duke Eye Center Welcomes Two New Oculofacial Surgery Faculty Members to Winston-Salem

Duke Eye Center is pleased to welcome Ryan Nolan, MD, MBA, and Nkechi Nwabueze, MD, to its faculty in Winston-Salem. Both completed fellowship training in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Duke Eye Center and bring specialized expertise in the medical and surgical care of conditions affecting the eyelids, orbit, tear drainage system, and surrounding facial structures.

Ryan Nolan, MD, MBA

Nolan earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at the Cullen Eye Institute at Baylor College of Medicine.

His approach to care emphasizes communication, collaboration, and helping patients make informed decisions about their treatment.

Nkechi Nwabueze, MD

Nwabueze completed medical school, a surgical internship, and ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center before coming to Duke for fellowship training.

She is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care and ensuring patients feel informed and supported throughout their treatment.
