Duke Eye Center hosted the 2026 Fellows Advanced Vitreous Surgery (FAVS) Course on March 27–28, 2026, at the Washington Duke Inn. Designed for first‑year vitreoretinal, medical retina, and uveitis fellows, FAVS provides an immersive, high‑impact educational experience tailored to the next generation of retina specialists.
Led by Course Director Lejla Vajzovic, MD, FASRS and Co‑Chairs Dilraj Grewal, MD, FASRS, Xi Chen, MD, PhD, and Durga Borkar, MD, MMCi, this year’s program delivered an intensive, hands‑on learning experience focused on the latest advances in vitreoretinal care.
