Duke at Vail Vitrectomy 2025

Several faculty and fellows from Duke Eye Center recently participated in the exclusive Vail Vitrectomy meeting, an invitation-only conference renowned for gathering the brightest minds in ophthalmology. This prestigious event, held every three to four years in Vail, Colorado, serves as a hub for innovation and collaboration in retinal surgery.

This year's meeting was co-chaired by Glenn Jaffe, MD and featured insightful presentations from Lejla Vajzovic, MD, FASRS, Yannek Leiderman, MD, PhD and Xi Chen, MD, PhD. Additionally, two of Duke's retina fellows, Tammy Hsu, MD and Mustafa Iftikhar, MD played crucial roles as scribes, meticulously documenting the groundbreaking discussions and presentations.

The participation of Duke Eye Center's faculty and fellows highlights their commitment to advancing the field of ophthalmology and their dedication to sharing knowledge and expertise with the global medical community.
