Fekrat Featured Discusses the Brain-Eye Connection in Ophthalmology Times

Sharon Fekrat, MD, FACS, FASRS was recently featured in Ophthalmology Times discussing how retinal imaging may provide insights into neurological conditions and the connection between eye and brain health.

In the interview, Fekrat highlighted research from the iMIND Study Group, which she founded to evaluate retinal imaging as a biomarker for conditions including Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injury, and other neurodegenerative disorders. She also discussed the role retinal imaging can play alongside neurological testing and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence in advancing our understanding of brain-based visual conditions.
