Graduate Student Amit Narawane Awarded VitreoRetinal Surgery Foundation Research Fellowship

Amit Narawane, a Duke graduate student under the mentorship of Cynthia Toth, MD has been awarded a $10,000 grant by the VitreoRetinal Surgery Foundation Research Fellowship to support his project on "Pupil Tracking and Motion Compensation for Handheld Pediatric Retinal Imaging." Additionally, Amit will receive up to $1,000 for travel expenses to present his research at a national meeting. Narawane is also mentored by Hafeez Dhalla, PhD, Xi Chen, MD, PhD, and Anthony Kuo, MD.

The VitreoRetinal Surgery Foundation Research Fellowship aims to support early-stage investigators in macular and retinal disease research, encouraging careers dedicated to retinal disease and research.
