Lindsey Chew, Duke School of Medicine MD/PhD candidate received a $25,000 Scholar Award from the International Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. This distinguished award, supported by the Barbara M. Kaufman Trust and Family, recognizes Chew’s impactful research efforts.
Chew’s work is conducted under the mentorship of Duke Eye Center faculty Catherine Bowes Rickman, PhD, and Lejla Vajzovic, MD, FASRS and focuses on advancing understanding and treatment of retinal diseases, including age-related macular degeneration, and exploring novel screening methods for pediatric retinal conditions.
