In his over 25 years of service at Duke, Dr. Scott has seen over 7,500 people suffering with movement disorders, including more than 3,000 Parkinson's disease patients and 400 Huntington's disease patients. He is a past director of the Parkinson's Foundation Center of Excellence at Duke and the current director of the Huntington Disease Center of Excellence at Duke University. Dr. Scott has been the site Principal Investigator for over 100 clinical trials focusing on advancing the care and treatment of patients with Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, and other movement disorders; and his clinical research endeavors have been supported by the Parkinson Study Group (PSG), the Huntington Study Group (HSG), multiple pharmaceutical companies, and the NIH.
