Duke Eye Center is proud to announce that eight faculty members have received Achievement Awards by the American Academy of Ophthalmology for their contributions made to the Academy, its scientific and educational programs and to ophthalmology. The award program is based on a cumulative point system; one point is awarded for each area of contribution, and an individual can earn a maximum of three points per year. Jiaxi Ding, MD, Anthony Kuo, MD, S. Grace Prakalapakorn, MD, MPH and Molly Walsh, MD, MPH are recipients of the Achievement Award, earning at least 10 points. Sanjay Asrani, MD, Dilraj Grewal, MD, Miguel Materin, MD and Victor Perez, MD are recipients of the Senior Achievement Award, earning at least 30 points. Areas of contribution include the Annual Meeting, Support of Advocacy Efforts and other categories for Academy Service.
