Congratulations to Lejla Vajzovic, MD on being accepted as one of 22 new members of The Macula Society! Vajzovic was chosen from a large group of candidates, and this year’s application process was especially competitive.
Founded in 1977, the Macula Society is a forum for new research in retinal vascular and macular diseases. The society’s membership continues to grow, both in the US and internationally. Applications are accepted only once a year, and members are selected via rigorous acceptance criteria, including extensive contribution to retinal literature. Members demonstrate their exceptional achievements through cutting-edge research and leadership in major clinical trials.
