Please join us in congratulating C. Ellis Wisely, MD, MBA, on his appointment as Associate Program Director for the Duke Ophthalmology Residency Program.
Wisely also serves as Site Director for the Ophthalmology Resident Service at the Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center. A graduate of the Duke Ophthalmology Residency Program's Class of 2020, he has a longstanding commitment to resident education. He served as a post-graduate chief resident in 2020-2021 and received Golden Apple Teaching Awards in 2020 and 2022.
He has authored several peer-reviewed publications focused on resident surgical education and will continue working closely with Pratap Challa, MD, Residency Program Director, in residency program administration.
