Duke Vitreoretinal Fellows Share Highlights from 2025 APR Course

In the January/February issue of Retina Today, Duke vitreoretinal fellows Angela Li, MD, and Yuxi Zheng, MD, shared highlights from the 2025 Advances in Pediatric Retina (APR) Course, held September 18–20.

The APR Course brought together international experts in pediatric ophthalmology and retina to review the latest developments in research, clinical practice, and surgical innovation. Led by Course Director Lejla Vajzovic, MD, FASRS, along with Co‑Directors Cynthia A. Toth, MD, and Mary Elizabeth Hartnett, MD, the program explored topics such as retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), advances in imaging and diagnostic technologies, complex pediatric vitreoretinal surgery, emerging gene therapy approaches, myopia and refractive development, ocular tumors, and Coats disease.
