The 36th Annual Duke Glaucoma Symposium was held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Duke Eye Center.

Lloyd Williams, MD, PhD traveled to Yogyakarta, Indonesia on the latest Duke Global Ophthalmology mission to collaborate with Dr Sardjito Hospital. While there, he performed 16 ICL surgeries and 23 corneal transplants.

Dilraj Grewal, MD, FASRS is the lead PI and Duke is a lead site in the CLARITY phase 3 study, evaluating brepocitinib in non-anterior non-infectious uveitis (NIU). Brepocitinib has been granted Fast Track Designation for NIU by the FDA.

Professor of Ophthalmology Lejla Vajzovic, MD, FASRS was honored with the 2024 Extraordinary Mentorship Award, presented by Real World Ophthalmology. This award recognizes Vajzovic's commitment to mentoring others and the significant positive impact she has made on her mentees' careers.
