Professor of Ophthalmology Leon Herndon, MD was featured in a recent Healio article discussing the importance of mentorship in ophthalmology.
Herndon shared about the role mentors have played in his career stating, “I clearly could not be where I am today without the mentors I had surrounding me and supporting me,” he said. “Many times, those mentors had more confidence in me than I had in myself. It’s good to have someone who can be in your corner, who can put you in the right positions and connect you with the right people.”
