Duke Eye Center is proud to announce that the Endre A. Balazs Prize Committee of the International Society for Eye Research (ISER) has selected Vadim Arshavsky, PhD to be the recipient of the 2020 Balazs Prize. He has been selected due to his outstanding contributions in the field of eye research and vision science.
Since the ISER 2020 Biennial Meeting was cancelled, Arshavsky will present a lecture virtually and will be recognized as the 2020 recipient of the Balazs Prize during the ISER 2022 Biennial Meeting, taking place in Gold Coast, Australia.
The Council of ISER awards an International Prize to honor a distinguished scientist whose outstanding contributions provide significant progress in the field of experimental eye research. This prize is named after Endre A. Balazs to honor his distinguished work in eye research and his contributions to the organization of the International Society for Eye Research. The Endre A. Balazs Prize is awarded at every Biennial Meeting of the Society for Eye Research.
