Join us in welcoming C. Ellis Wisely, MD, MBA to Duke Ophthalmology as assistant professor of ophthalmology for the cornea, external disease and refractive surgery division.
Dr. Wisely is committed to helping patients improve their quality of life by optimizing their vision. He primarily treats patients with cataracts, corneal problems, and patients seeking independence from their contacts or glasses. He performs all types of cataract surgery including premium, laser-assisted, and complex cataract surgery. He also performs partial and full-thickness corneal transplants in addition to refractive surgery procedures including LASIK and PRK. In his spare time, he is an avid college basketball fan, and enjoys traveling with his wife and son.
Dr. Wisely received his MBA and MD from Ohio State University, then completed his residency and fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at Duke.
