Division Administrators Join Duke Ophthalmology

Marti (Wilson) Dellinger, MHA and Tammy Clay, MHA have recently joined Duke Ophthalmology as Division Administrators.  The two new positions were created in an effort to provide additional support across clinical and academic areas for faculty and staff.

In 2016, we provided almost 200,000 patient visits, performed almost 14,000 surgeries and had almost $18 million in research funding.  We look forward to continued growth clinically and academically as we prepare to add more than 25 new clinical and several new research faculty over the next three years.

Marti (Wilson) Dellinger, MHA

Marti has been working in the department for over 18 years, most recently as the Health Center Administrator at our Winston-Salem practice for the last five years.  Her previous experience includes management and front-line clinical experience. She received her BA from High Point University and her MHA from Winston-Salem State University.  Marti will be working with the Comprehensive, Cornea, Glaucoma, and Plastics Divisions.  She will be partnering with the Division Chiefs and Robin Goodwin, administrative coordinator for those divisions.

Tammy Clay, MHA

Tammy comes to ophthalmology with over 25 years in health care experience.  She joined the PDC in 1999 and has been serving since 2013 as the Associate Vice President for Compliance and Chief Patient Privacy Officer.  She also has previous experience serving as a Health Center Administrator and as Director for CPDC Clinic Operations.  Tammy received her BA from East Carolina University and her MHA from Pfeiffer University.  She will be working with the Low Vision, Neuro, Pediatrics, and Retina Divisions.  She will be partnering with the Division Chiefs and an administrative coordinator for those divisions.

We are excited to have Marti and Tammy partner with our divisions, staff and faculty in these efforts.
