Duke at AAPOS 2024

The 49th Annual Meeting of American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS) was held April 7 - 11 in Austin, Texas and included 16 Duke led presentations. The goals of this annual meeting are to advance the quality of children's eye care, support the training of pediatric ophthalmologists, support research activities in pediatric ophthalmology, and advance the care of adults with strabismus.

Pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus division chief Sharon Freedman, MD and Michelle Go, MD led a workshop on the diagnosis and management of glaucoma in children. Freedman also led a workshop that discussed using technology to improve patient care and efficiency.

Ramiro Maldonado, MD, and Grace Prakalapakorn, MD also lead workshops during the meeting.

Laura Enyedi, MD and several trainees were involved in poster and paper presentations.
