Maldonado Receives FBB Award to Advance Discoveries in Inherited Retinal Diseases in Children

Ramiro Maldonado, MD, Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology is the recipient of the Individual Investigator Award presented by the Foundation for Fighting Blindness. This award will provide three years of funding for his research project entitled: Ultracompact Hand-held Swept-Source Optical Coherence Tomography as a Novel Diagnostic Modality for Early-Onset Retinal Dystrophies.  This is award will propel research efforts and advance the field of inherited retinal diseases (IRD) in children.
