Kelly Muir, MD is the Glaucoma Subspecialty Day Program Co-Director at AAO 2022. This is a special honor that she shares with Teresa C. Chen, MD for an immersive review of test result interpretation surgical and medical treatment, and decision making. The program co-director role takes years of experience in ophthalmology and at AAO, so this is an incredible honor.
Dr. Muir is has been an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, Glaucoma since 2017 and her other areas of expertise include cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. Her research focuses on helping patients with glaucoma self-manage their disease by improving patient educational materials, studying communication between patients and doctors, and developing a novel eyedrop bottle that helps patients instill their eyedrops correctly.
