Melissa Daluvoy, MD serves as Clinical Director of Opening Eyes NC and coordinated the athlete eye screening at Special Olympics NC. There was an overwhelming amount of volunteers, from Duke and beyond, who contributed to the success of this event by: screening almost 60 athletes in under 4 hours, making 10 pairs of glasses on site and mailing 4 additional pairs, and providing excellent patient care with kindness and patience. This would not have been possible without the help and support of all the volunteers.
