Join us in welcoming Lisa Sharp, MBA as Research Practice Manager for Duke Eye Center. Lisa brings exceptional experience to this role where she will continue to build and manage the team of specialists and coordinators at Duke Eye Center. She emphasizes open communication, team building and cohesiveness that fully utilizes the wealth of experience as well as developing the newest team members.
She joins Duke from Stanford University. Previously, she held positions at Johns Hopkins University and University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Lisa holds a master’s degree in business administration, is a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) and a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP).
Along with years of Ophthalmology research, she has experience in optical, and spent a summer working with a prosthetic and orthotics team. Lisa and her husband have three children. They moved to Holly Springs from California in August 2020. Lisa enjoys spending her spare time hiking, kayaking, working in the garden, playing with the family dog or reading. She is part of the “Run the Year” challenge with a goal to run 2021 miles in 2021. She is at 950 miles so far.
