Vision Quest 2025

On January 25, 2025, the Duke Ophthalmology Vision Quest 2025 brought together allied ophthalmic personnel from Duke Eye Center and beyond, for a comprehensive update on the latest advancements, techniques, and new technologies in ophthalmology. The event featured presentations by Duke Eye Center faculty and staff, providing valuable insights into current practices and future trends in eye care.

Participants had the opportunity to choose between two engaging workshops:

  • Dissection of "Real Human Eyes" and Hands-on Eye Anatomy, led by Taylor Vanek, CEBT, from Miracles In Sight
  • Workshop on Eye Muscles and Prism, led by Namita Kashyap, CO, MBA

Additionally, a guest lecture by veterinary ophthalmologist, Michala de Linde Henriksen, DVM, PhD from North Carolina State University, offered a unique perspective on eye care across species.

The event was directed by Giselle Grimshaw, COMT, ROUB whose leadership and expertise were instrumental in the event's success.
