Zheng Named ASRS Fellow in Training Section Co-Chair

Yuxi Zheng, MD, former chief resident and current vitreoretinal surgery fellow, was named co-chair of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) Fellows-in-Training (FIT) Section. The goal of FIT is to provide fellows with networking, research, and learning opportunities to enhance their training experience.

Zheng graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. She received her Doctor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University on a full merit scholarship, where she was also elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Zheng completed her ophthalmology residency at Duke Eye Center and served as co-chief resident her final year. She is currently a first-year vitreoretinal surgery fellow at the Duke Eye Center.
