Vice Chair for Clinical Research, Eleonora Lad, MD, PhD delivered the Gifford Lecture at the  Illinois Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and Chicago Ophthalmological Society Meeting. 

 The North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (NANOS) held its annual meeting March 2-7, 2024 in Honolulu, HI. Duke Neuro-Ophthalmology faculty Nathan Tagg, MD and Mays Dairi, MD along with fellow Tali Okrent, MD presented during the meeting.

Sharon Freedman, MD was honored with the prestigious Outstanding Educator Award during the annual meeting of the America Glaucoma Society (AGS) on Saturday March 2, 2024. This award recognized her consistent and extraordinary commitment to advancing glaucoma education to residents, fellows, and colleagues including over 30 years of service with Duke Eye Center. Freedmen currently serves as tenured Professor of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics, Chief of the Pediatric Ophthalmology Division, and Fellowship Director.

The American Glaucoma Society (AGS) will hold their annual meeting February 29 - March 3, 2024 in Huntington Beach, California. The meeting will showcase the highest-caliber papers, posters, and symposia, including presentations by our own Duke Eye Center glaucoma experts.
